Visitor Centre

The Wolseley Centre was opened for us by David Bellamy (pictured above in the visitor centre) in March 2003. The visitor centre has a small shop selling crafts, gifts, bird food and many books on wildlife. We have a large range of leaflets and information about other sites and events all around the county. There is also an interpretation room which gives information about some of the habitats we manage and the differing wildlife that you can find there. There are interactive displays for all ages to discover!

For the young ones there is chance to do some colouring whilst parents pick up a map for the site or take a flyer for an event. The site map shows all the different habitats that we have at Wolseley, it will guide you around our two trails and even has a quiz for you to find the answers to as you go around. For the less mobile we have an electric scooter or a wheelchair which can be hired and both are suitable for getting along the All Ability Trail.

When you've explored the grounds why not come back inside and have a drink, watch the monitor showing birds feeding in our wildlife garden or fill in our sightings book to let us know what wildlife you've seen.

The Wolseley Centre is one of five visitor centres within Cannock Chase AONB, to find out more about the other centres use this link which takes you to the AONB's website.
